Following a 20 year career in the IT Industry, David worked as Clerk to the Governors at a local Further Education College before joining Saltmine in 2014.

Studying English and Drama at Royal Holloway College, Joanna is one of our longest serving staff members and works to get us and you to the right place at the right time.
After serving for 12 years on the Spring Harvest leadership team, speaking and event planning for the largest Christian Conference in Europe. Rachael then moved on to get her Masters in Applied Theology and Leadership before joining us in 2010.
After training in Stratford and Wolverhampton in acting, Naomi went on to get her PGCE and now works part-time for us whilst working as a consultant and drama lecturer.
Chez has been a freelance photographer for 10 years and has worked with clients such as The Guardian, Ella’s Kitchen and The British Council. He studied Photography at Falmouth University and has been with us since 2015.
Before joining us in 1989, Andy did a Chemistry Degree at the University of Exeter. After finishing he became Saltmine’s first theatre technician and now takes care of all our practical needs.
After studying fashion in Amsterdam for a year, Bethany went on to do a degree in Fashion Design at Falmouth University. She is now the brains behind the beauty of our costumes and set.
After completing a Foundation Degree in Community Evangelism, Ben is now our longest serving current actor. With thousands of performances under his belt he started directing for us 3 years ago.
Born in Bedfordshire, Katie completed her degree in English and Theatre at the University of Sheffield to join us as an intern in 2017.
Growing up in Dublin and Philadelphia, Duncan did a Foundation in Acting course at the London School of Dramatic Art before joining us as an intern in 2017.
Sound Engineer and Technician
After finishing a Diploma in Popular Music and Worship (Live Sound), Jacob became a freelance technician before joining us in 2016.
After completing a degree in Ancient History at the University of Reading, Freddy joined us in 2012. He has toured thousands of miles with us in thousands of performances over the past 6 years.
Trained at East 15 Acting School, Martha went on to pioneer the Nimbus Collective while working as a freelance actor and writer.
Minister, secret actor and voice over pro, Dave also creates all of our multi-media content.
Caroline has been a theatre maker and director for the past twenty years. Recently working with the RSC, Birmingham Rep and Women & Theatre. Alongside her professional theatre work she has directed a number of large scale community productions.
Marcel trained at Birmingham School of Acting and went on to become a freelance actor. He has been with us since 2015 while continuing his freelance work.
Starting as an apprentice in printing, Phil then went on to be the director of his own print and design business for over 30 years before joining us in 2014.
Originally from Lincolnshire, Lydia joins us this year as an intern after doing her A-levels in English, Drama and History.
Interim Digital Marketing and Communications Manager
Freelancing for us at the moment, Lydia has been leading volunteer teams and travelling for the past 5 years, whilst pioneering different projects.
Originally from Edinburgh, Joshua completed his degree in Performance at UWS before joining us as an intern this year.
Kirsty got her A-Levels in English Lit, Drama and Religious Studies before taking a gap year working with BiG Kids children's charity.
Passion Play Project Manager
After studying French and Italian at Warwick University, Lottie went to work at the REP Theatres Box Office. She is still currently there while helping us with the organising of The Birmingham Passion Play 2019
Web and Graphic Designer
Starting off with a degree in Fine Art and Design, Franco went on to become a graphic designer and has been freelancing for the past 10 years. Contracted by us in 2012 this Italian is behind our website and artwork.
Emily is currently freelancing with us. She has worked with Riding Lights and Little Blue Monster, and has a BA Hons English Literature and Language degree from Oxford.
With 4 years of tech experience at Spring Harvest Holidays, Jake joined us in 2016 as our technical intern. He is currently freelancing with us.
Lesley is the UK director of Agapé and has been a part of our board since 2014. When she's not helping shape Saltmine Trust she can be found watching movies, reading and eating with friends.
A board member since 2009, Paul recently retired from church leadership. He planted a church in the West Midlands over 30 years ago, and now enjoys new areas of ministry and playing tennis.
A board member since 2009, Paul is our current Chair. He is a retired solicitor and church leader and enjoys building relationships with his children and grandchildren, and playing golf.
