Ashley Andrew
Ashley trained at Motherwell College, where she received a HND in Musical Theatre and credits including Into The Woods and We Will Rock You. She spent several years touring in drugs awareness and anti bullying productions as well as performing in pantomimes and children's television programs. A proud Scot, Ashley joined the company in September 2009 and has appeared in Faustus, An Angels Delight, ESCape, Who Moved The Egg?, Fish 'n' Ships, and From Eden To Eternity. One of her ambitions is to beat Meryl Streep at Oscar accumulating.

Joanna Bell
Joanna is currently our creative arts coordinator. Since joining she has also enjoyed developing her natural acting talents and occasionally puts them to good use by supplementing the theatre company. Recently she has completed a five week tour of ESCape.

Jon Buckeridge
Jon was born and raised in the tiny town of Stroud in Gloucestershire, but has lived in Oswestry, Shropshire, since he was about thirteen years old. He has always loved to act and studied for a degree in drama at Aberystwyth University. Throughout his acting career Jon has worked in a variety of styles and his credits include Oliver, Three Sisters and Macbeth. Since joining the company he has appeared in Out of the Box, Fish and Ships, The Hope Play, Sticks 'n' Stones, Robin Hood, Down to Earth, Faustus, Escape, A Long Road Home, Who Moved The Egg?, The Cross and the Switchblade and From Eden To Eternity. Film credits include ESCape and The Agent. One of Jon's ambitions is to appear in an episode of The Archers on Radio 4, because he knows his mum would be listening.

Craig Edgar
Craig started amateur dramatics in 1997, joining Haslington Methodist Church Drama Group. Years later Craig has appeared in dozens of amateur shows with 4 different groups, including: Boeing Boeing, Snakes and Ladders, Ghost Train, The Shop at Sly Corner, Blythe Spirit and An Inspector Calls. Craig has also appeared in 10 pantomimes and also wrote, directed and performed in The Rainboat, a dramatized version of the story of Noah and the Ark. Craig fulfilled a lifelong dream by jumping to professional acting when joining Saltmine Theatre Company in September 2008. He has appeared in The Hope Play, Robin Hood, Sticks'n' Stones, Escape, Who Moved The Egg? and BINGE: There must be more than this?. Craig has recently written, directed and appeared in the newest edition to Saltmine Films The Agent.

Peter Kirkby
Peter has been with the Company since October 2009 after completing a young leader's programme at his home church in Wellington, Shropshire. Prior to this he spent some time out in Croatia working for The Bless Network. Since joining Saltmine he has been responsible for administration of various creative arts projects as well as using his music and acting skills. He recently appeared with the company at Spring Harvest 2010. Since joining he has performed in Secret Believers, Christmas Chestnut's and A Murder Mystery.

Beatrice Lovell
Beatrice joined Saltmine in September 2009 after completing her A-levels. She was born in Devon and raised in Suffolk and got involved with drama, dance and music groups from a young age. Throughout her studies she was involved in many theatre productions including Macbeth, The Boyfriend, Totally Over You, Arabian Nights, My Mother Said I Never Should, The Miracle, and Heartbreak Beautiful.As well as acting, she also has directed a production of Pygmalion. Since joining the Company she has performed in Escape, Robin Hood, The Hope Play, Who Moved The Egg?, BINGE: There must be more than this? and Stick and Stones .

Merriel Plummer
Merriel was born and raised in Poole, Dorset and acquired a dramatic nature from a young age. She has studied Drama & Theatre Studies at both GCSE and A-level working in a variety of theatre styles and acting in several media projects. Before joining Saltmine in September 2009 her theatre credits included A Midsummer Night's Dream, Les Miserables, Stags and Hens, The Permanent Way and The Blunt End. Since joining the Company, Merriel has appeared in Escape, Robin Hood, BINGE: There must be more than this?, The Hope Play and Stick and Stones .

Lizzie Richey
Lizzie's background includes studies in law, running a nightclub and recruitment consultancy. Along the way she has worked in Canada, Mozambique and South Africa where she oversaw the management of a community newspaper on an HIV/Aids based project. In September 2009 she started in a new direction and is excited about the opportunity to use her creativity as part of Saltmine. Since joining the Company she has appeared in Escape and Treasure Island

David Robinson - Artistic Director
Born in Lancashire and now living in the West Midlands, the majority of David's training was at Amersham College. He then went on to work at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden before joining Saltmine Theatre Company as an actor in 1989. Since then he has performed in all their major productions, he was made leader of the company in 1991 and subsequently Saltmine's Creative Arts Director in 1998. He has also written several of Saltmine's productions including Three Wise Men and a Baby, The Hiding Place, When I'm Calling You, and the original adaptation of The Cross and the Switchblade. His other writing commissions include writing for Spring Harvest, BBC, Tear Fund and Open Doors. He has directed and co-directed a number of Saltmine's productions as well as touring with his own one-man show Hatch, Match and Despatch. Film credits include The Agent.

Simon Rodda
Simon was born and raised in Cornwall and has always wanted to act from a young age. He moved to Birmingham in 2008 where he joined the Riverside School of Performing Arts alongside Raw Nerve Theatre Co. There he was involved in creating a number of productions including Liar Liar and Skin Deep which toured in Primary and Secondary Schools. Other theatre credits inlude An Unbelievable Day, The Soldier and Dreams Come True. Directing credits include Plumbing Paperclips. He joined the Company in September 2009 and has performed in Fish 'n' Ships, Robin Hood, BINGE: There must be more than this?, Faustus, Sticks and Stones and ESCape.

Rebecca Rogers
Rebecca trained at Bretton Hall, completing a BA (Hons) Acting Degree in 2007. Since she completed her studies Rebecca has toured Cyprus with Altitude North Theatre Company and performed at the Edinburgh Fringe with Potlatch Theatre Company. Since joining Saltmine in November 2007 she has performed in The Cross and the Switchblade, Escape, Who Moved the Egg?, Heroes, From Eden to Eternity, The Emperor's New Clothes, Faustus, Ecstasy: The Leah Betts Story, A Long Road Home, Sticks and Stones and The Hope Play. She has also appeared in the short film The King and writing credits include Heroes.

Miriam Sarin
Miriam studied Performing Arts at New College, Nottingham before joining Saltmine in 2005. During her college years she performed in The Crucible, Tis' Pity she's a Whore and Not I as well as directing her own production of Jewel. Since joining Saltmine, Miriam has performed in The Cross and the Switchblade, Emma's Mystery, 33 Not Out, The Hiding Place, The Screwtape Letters, ESCape, BINGE: There must be more than this?, Who Moved the Egg?, Rebekka, An Angel's Delight, Ecstasy: The Leah Betts Story, The Stars And The Sand And That Other Now, The Liberator, When I'm Calling You, Faustus, Three Wise Men and a Baby, Secret Believers and One Hope. She has also performed in the short films The Follower and The King. Writing credits include BINGE: There must be more than this? Film credits include The Agent.

Matthew J Sunners
Matt trained at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston where he graduated from the BA Honours Acting degree in 2005. Previous theatre credits include: Splendid Production's Antigone, Lacey Theatre Company's The Liberator and Saltmine Theatre Company's The Cross and the Switchblade, An Angel's Delight, The Hope Play, Treasure Island, ESCape, the Hope Play and BINGE: There must be more than this?. Michael Taylor
Michael was raised in Isleham, near Newmarket and joined the company in January 2005. His performing credits include The Importance of Being Earnest, Grease and since joining the company he has appeared in Emma's Mystery, The Cross and the Switchblade, The Hiding Place, The Screwtape Letters, Ecstasy: The Leah Betts Story, The Stars and the Sand and that Other Now, Robin Hood, 33 Not Out, The Liberator, The Apostle of Faith, In the Beginning, When I'm Calling You, Treasure Island and Three Wise Men and a Baby. Writing credits include Ecstasy: The Leah Betts Story. Michael has also written and performed the music for the Company's productions of The Stars, the Sand and That Other Now, Robin Hood, The Apostle of Faith, Emma's Mystery as well as The Cross and the Switchblade. Becky Townsend
Becky is originally from Andover, Hampshire and has a passion to work with both children and young people using the medium of theatre. She holds a (BA) Hons in Performing Arts from the University of Chichester where she worked in productions of Keep Your Powder Dry and Travel Monopoly. Last year completed a nine-month drama training course with the Riverside School of Performing Arts which included touring theatre in education plays Liar, Liar and Skin Deep in both Primary and Secondary schools. Writing credits include Plumbing Paperclips. Anna Turner
Anna grew up in a little place called Canvey Island in Essex. She has always enjoyed acting right from an infant school appearance as child number one in the annual nativity play. After A levels Anna studied Drama and Literature at Essex University, where she continued her drama outside as well as within classes. After University Anna moved to Wales to do a gap year with Going Public in Cardiff. She performed dramas and stories in kids clubs, schools, youth groups and church services. Since joining the company in September 2007 she has appeared in Out of the Box, Fish 'n' Ships, Sticks 'n' Stones, Robin Hood, Down to Earth, The Hope Play, BINGE: There must be more than this?, One Hope and Escape.
